Bond Lawyer in Jacksonville
You Have Rights
Our office represents clients detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) anywhere in the U.S.
Bond Requests with ICE
Your loved one may be eligible for release from detention on bond, or for urgent humanitarian reasons. ICE typically makes a custody determination in every case they encounter. Some people will be granted a bond by ICE, while most will be denied. Often, ICE denies bond because the only evidence they have is negative (the arrest report, immigration violations, etc.). Our attorneys regularly prepare and submit bond packages to ICE to showcase our clients’ good qualities and demonstrate to ICE why they should be released on bond. Even if ICE denies bond, if the person is not subject to mandatory detention, they will have an opportunity to request bond from an Immigration Judge.
Bond from an Immigration Judge
Even if ICE denies bond, if the person is not subject to mandatory detention, they will have an opportunity to request bond from an Immigration Judge. Having a skilled attorney present the case to an Immigration Judge in writing and at the bond hearing can make the difference in your loved one being released or detained.
Sometimes ICE or an Immigration Judge set a bond that is too high. Our attorneys may be able to present evidence and testimony not previously presented that may persuade ICE or an Immigration Judge to reduce the bond amount.
